About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for its diverse patient population in a specialty hospital setting. The role serves chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn. The RCP performs routine therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures; maintains equipment in working order; and provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
