Resident Service & Transportation Coordinator
About The Position
St Martha Campus in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, is seeking a versatile, resident-focused Resident Service & Transportation Coordinator. The position combines transportation services, recreational activities, and personalized resident hospitality to enhance residents’ quality of life. The coordinator transports residents to appointments and events, supports recreational programming, and provides assistance to residents and families. The role also collaborates with nursing, recreation, social services, and other departments to promote resident satisfaction and maintain a welcoming, respectful, hospitality-focused environment.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to working with seniors.
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs in accordance with facility policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a nursing home, senior living community, or healthcare setting.
- Experience in resident activities, customer service, or transportation.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, recreational outings, and community events.
- Assist residents entering and exiting the facility vehicle, including residents using mobility devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable transportation environment.
- Follow facility transportation policies and safety procedures.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting recreational and social activities.
- Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings.
- Promote resident independence, socialization, and emotional well-being.
- Support the Recreational Department in creating a positive and stimulating environment.
- Provide personalized assistance to residents and families to help ensure a welcoming and comfortable experience.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to resident requests.
- Assist new residents with orientation and adjustment to the facility.
- Serve as a friendly, supportive point of contact for resident needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with nursing, recreation, social services, and other departments to promote resident satisfaction.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and hospitality-focused environment.
- Safely assist residents with mobility needs in accordance with facility policy.
