Resident Service Coordinators educate, support, and connect residents in Affordable/HUD-subsidized housing with resources and services that promote independent living and successful aging in place. They empower residents to exercise their right to self-determination while providing quality referrals to federal, state, and community-based programs. Serving as a liaison between residents, service providers, and the community, Resident Service Coordinators conduct non-clinical assessments, identify wellness and social service needs, coordinate appropriate services, and monitor outcomes through ongoing follow-up. Success in this role requires strong customer service, communication, relationship-building, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
