About The Position

Navion of Rocky Mount is seeking a caring, dependable Resident Care Aide to provide hands-on support with residents’ daily activities and build meaningful relationships with them. The role focuses on helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. This is a part-time position working from 5 AM to 1 PM. Navion of Rocky Mount offers access to Tapcheck, a mobile app that allows team members to access earned wages instantly.

Requirements

• Passion for the senior population.
• High school diploma or GED.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to think and work independently with direction from a team leader or manager, while maintaining efficient and consistent communication.
• Excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other health professionals in residents’ presence.
• Ability to endure high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
• Maintain the confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including turning, ambulating, and delivering food and beverages.
• Help residents with personal hygiene, including providing bedpans and assisting with bathing.
• Provide adjunct patient care as needed, such as delivering ice packs and dressings or providing baths for comfort after therapy sessions.
• Monitor and record food intake and urinary and fecal output to share with medical and nursing staff.
• Process information from other professionals and work with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
• Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures.
• Report safety violations.
