About The Position

Navion of Rocky Mount is hiring a part-time Cook to prepare and serve fresh, appealing meals with care for residents. The role supports a welcoming dining experience and high-quality service while working collaboratively with the team. The Cook is expected to prepare appetizing food, follow safety and sanitation requirements, learn basic tasks, follow written and verbal instructions, and provide pleasant, timely service. Team members can access earned wages through the Tapcheck mobile app. PTO is listed as a benefit for full-time positions, not specifically for this part-time role.

Requirements

• Current ServSafe food services sanitation certificate, or ability to participate in food services sanitation training to become certified.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• One year of job-related experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
• At least 16 years old; in North Carolina, at least 18 years old if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer or mixer.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• Three years of experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR and First-Aid certifications preferred.
