About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Reservationist to accept trip reservations from eligible passengers and collect the information needed to schedule trips. The role provides information to current, new, and potential passengers about accessing and using the transportation service, maintains accurate passenger records, and communicates with passengers and operations staff about trip schedules and changes. The Reservationist is expected to provide excellent customer service, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Telephone speaking and/or call center experience.
• Computer experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS.

Responsibilities

• Answer passenger calls and collect the necessary trip information for the permissible time period.
• Provide current, new, and potential passengers with information about accessing and using the transportation service.
• Enter passenger file information and trip requests, negotiating requested times when necessary or appropriate.
• Make follow-up calls to passengers as part of regular duties or when schedules change.
• Communicate passenger cancellations promptly to scheduling, dispatch, or vehicle operations personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date passenger records in the customer database, including status, contact information, fare or rider type, and other important fields.
• Maintain a safe work area and focus on safety to reduce the risk of injury to self or other employees.
• Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing systems.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff about scheduling or passenger issues.
• Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Maintain reliable attendance and work as a helpful team player with staff, management, and peers.
