About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Reservationist to accept trip reservations from eligible passengers and collect the information needed to schedule trips. The role provides passengers with information about accessing and effectively using the transportation service, records passenger and trip-request data, and coordinates with operations staff on scheduling and passenger issues. The Reservationist also maintains accurate passenger records and filing systems and supports a safe work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent decision-making skills.
Excellent attendance record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Telephone-speaking and/or call-center experience.
Computer experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience in paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS.

Responsibilities

Answer passenger calls and collect necessary trip information for the permissible time period.
Provide current, new, and potential passengers with information about accessing and effectively using the transportation service.
Enter passenger-file information and specific trip requests, negotiating requested times when necessary or appropriate.
Follow up with passengers as part of regular duties or when schedule changes require it.
Communicate passenger cancellations promptly to scheduling, dispatch, or vehicle operations personnel.
Keep passenger records in the customer database up to date, including status, contact information, fare or rider type, and other important fields.
Maintain a safe work area and focus on safety to reduce the risk of injury to self or other employees.
Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing systems.
Communicate effectively with operations staff about scheduling or passenger issues.
Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
Maintain reliable attendance and be a helpful team player to staff, management, and peers.
