About The Position

N C Machinery, the Caterpillar dealership for Alaska and Washington, is seeking a highly motivated, customer-service-oriented Rental Sales Representative for its Anchorage, Alaska-based territory. The role focuses on developing and maintaining customer relationships and growing rental business by matching customers with equipment and rental programs. The representative provides product information and education on financial merchandising plans, works closely with operations personnel, and follows company sales procedures and policies. Requirements

• 2–3 years of outside sales experience.
• High-energy and self-motivated approach.
• Take-charge attitude and drive to help customers succeed.
• Articulate and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Rental experience is highly preferred.
• Experience selling and leasing construction equipment.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar proprietary software and related programs.
• Bachelor's degree in business.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new customers within the territory to its maximum potential.
• Maintain and build positive customer relationships.
• Conduct weekly in-person visits with customers at their offices and jobsites.
• Provide product information and educate customers on financial merchandising plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer records, including logging and entering data.
• Manage expenses and follow sales procedures and policies.
• Coordinate with operations personnel regarding equipment availability and rental programs.
• Assist customers with their business needs through effective communication.
