Rental Sales Manager

Zeiterion Theatre Inc•New Bedford, MA
•$26 - $34•Hybrid

About The Position

The Zeiterion is hiring for a temporary, part-time rental sales role, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on organizational need. The role adds focused capacity to the theater’s venue rental sales work and serves as the primary contact for incoming rental inquiries. It guides prospects through an initial feasibility review and manages timely communication throughout the sales process. During the pilot period, the position reports to the Director of Engagement and collaborates with Production, Theater & Event Operations, Building Operations, Marketing & Communications, Box Office, Finance, and Engagement. The pilot will assess rental demand, revenue impact, workflow effectiveness, and the value of additional staffing. If made permanent, the position’s department and reporting structure will be determined based on that assessment. The position is accountable for promptly moving inquiries to an initial feasibility decision, maintaining clear and timely communication, developing rental business and prospective-client relationships, supporting accurate quotes and internal handoffs, and tracking sales and workflow metrics. Routine opportunities may be advanced using approved messaging, pricing, policies, and processes; pricing, policy, contractual, high-risk, and complex matters must be escalated to the Director of Engagement or a designated leader. The role works approximately 15–25 hours per week on an agreed schedule, with some flexibility based on inquiry and event needs. The position is primarily indoor office work in a collaborative environment, with occasional movement throughout the building. The Zeiterion describes its workplace as committed to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, collaboration, continuous learning, and its values of Imagination, Connection, Equity, Transparency, and Discovery.
