About The Position

Avis Budget Group is hiring a full-time Rental Sales Agent for its airport rental counters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role is in a fast-paced, customer-focused, on-site environment. The agent rents vehicles, processes rental contracts, listens to customers’ needs, and recommends products and services to enhance their travel experience. Using a consultative approach to upselling, the agent provides professional, friendly service intended to build customer trust and loyalty. Compensation is $15.00 per hour plus unlimited commission; average full-time earnings are stated as $83,120 per year. A shift premium may apply. The position includes on-the-job training to develop sales skills and employee discounts, including discounted car rentals and Avis/Budget car purchases. Perks may vary by employment status and location.

Requirements

• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Professional, engaging, and customer-focused personality.
• Comfort recommending products and services based on customer needs.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Ability to sit, stand, and type for prolonged periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Regular on-site presence is required; the position cannot be performed remotely.

• Six months of real estate, retail, or consultative sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
