About The Position

As a Rental Advisor at RDO Equipment Co., you coordinate rental equipment availability, fleet readiness, deliveries, pickups, and daily priorities so customers have the equipment they need when they need it. The role involves coordinating rental operations, preparing equipment for rental, supporting walk-in customers, managing changing priorities, and working with Rental, Sales, Service, and Transportation teams. The position is based in the Riverside area, within RDO Equipment Co.’s Southwest construction-store network.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance equipment availability, fleet readiness, customer commitments, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• General understanding of heavy equipment, rental operations, equipment condition, and maintenance or repair needs.
• Ability to communicate priorities clearly and work effectively with customers and teams across multiple departments.
• Ability to identify operational issues, respond to changing needs, and find solutions.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use company systems to manage rental activity, equipment status, and documentation.
• Valid work authorization and ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, heavy equipment, or a related operational environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment availability, reservations, deliveries, pickups, transfers, and customer commitments.
• Coordinate equipment inspections, cleaning, fueling, repairs, and staging to ensure rental equipment is ready for customers.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for walk-in rental customers, coordinating equipment needs, availability, documentation, pickups, and returns.
• Coordinate daily workflow according to rental demand, equipment availability, service schedules, transportation needs, and changing customer priorities.
• Partner with Rental, Sales, Service, and Transportation teams to communicate equipment status, resolve operational challenges, and support customer commitments.
