About The Position

Benchmark Community Bank is hiring a service-oriented Teller for its South Hill branch. The Teller welcomes customers as their first point of contact, creates a positive first impression, and builds customer relationships. The position processes routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments, and may recommend financial products and services suited to customers’ current and future needs. The Teller maintains a cash drawer and its associated controls, receipts, security, and proofs, and ensures the drawer balances at the end of each day. Accuracy and attention to detail are important when handling cash, entering information into a computer, following check-cashing guidelines, and watching for fraudulent activity. This is a full-time position with scheduled weekday hours and alternating Saturday mornings.

Requirements

Excellent relationship-building skills.
Experience working with the public and handling money.
Basic math and computer skills.

1–2 years of previous banking experience.

Responsibilities
