About The Position
As a Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships. Using financial knowledge, you recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success. The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Employment is contingent on meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, fitness, and registration requirements. The position is also subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales experience in retail banking, financial services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including tailoring product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; a felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants.
- Comply with SAFE Act requirements, including successful NMLS registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewals and required updates.
- Meet Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to team experts for specialized financial needs.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- Work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Register on NMLS or update an existing registration upon active employment, and complete required renewals and updates.
