Rehabilitation Aide, Physical Therapy (Per Diem, Day Shift)
About The Position
Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley has been providing high-quality healthcare services since 1934. We are comprised of a 25-bed hospital, wide range of outpatient services, emergency department, rural health clinics and medical offices. Tehachapi is located just north of Southern California's highly populated areas, with a mountain locale known for its outdoor living. Residents enjoy the scenic beauty, extreme sports and wildlife. Tehachapi is a nice balance of a small-town community within an epicenter of shopping, retail, arts and culture. Performs patient and non-patient related tasks under the order, direction and immediate supervision of registered physical, occupational and speech therapists.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs direct and indirect patient care duties under the supervision of appropriately licensed professionals, as delegated by department professionals and management.
- Assists with patient transport and transfers.
- Provides daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services provided in the acute care setting. Documents employee and out-patient treatments, as necessary.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
