About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor in the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa for the 2027 Winter Semester. The course, Droit de l’entreprise I : Formes juridiques de l’entreprise (DRC2501), covers the notion of enterprise and its consequences in the Civil Code of Quebec, legal publicity of enterprises, legal personality, and various legal forms of enterprise organization including individual enterprise, partnerships, share companies, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, and trusts. It also provides an overview of the rules surrounding the creation, management, responsibility, and dissolution of an enterprise. Requirements

  • Knowledge of the notion of enterprise and its consequences in the Civil Code of Quebec
  • Knowledge of legal publicity of enterprises
  • Knowledge of legal personality
  • Knowledge of legal forms of organization of enterprise: individual enterprise, partnership, share company, cooperative, non-profit organization, trust
  • Knowledge of the rules surrounding the creation, management, responsibility, and dissolution of an enterprise
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training required under provincial law
  • Passive competence in French (language of instruction)
