About The Position
This is a regular part-time professor position for the 2027 Winter Semester in the Civil Law Section at Fauteux Hall. The role involves teaching the course DRC1710, titled "Droit des obligations II: Régime extracontractuel de responsabilité civile". The course covers the foundations of civil liability, conditions for applying civil liability for personal acts (fault, causal link, and prejudice), liability for the acts of others, liability for the acts of property, and a study of certain special compensation regimes. The language of instruction is French, with a requirement for passive competence in a second language. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 8:30-11:30 AM, in-person, with an expected enrolment of 80 students and carrying 3 credits. The total work hours for the course are 39. - Knowledge of Fondements de la responsabilité civile
- Knowledge of Conditions d’application de la responsabilité civile pour le fait personnel: faute, lien causal et préjudice
- Knowledge of Responsabilité pour le fait d’autrui
- Knowledge of Responsabilité pour le fait des biens
- Knowledge of Étude de certains régimes spéciaux d'indemnisation
- Passive competence in second language
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training
