About The Position

The Registration Specialist I-Float supports outpatient clinics by ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate registration processes. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple outpatient office locations. Onboarding includes Cerner training and shadowing with other registration float employees to learn multiple office workflows.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Positive attitude and compassion.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to learn and retain medical coding, including ICD-10 and CPT.
• Ability to interpret insurance information.
• Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology.
• Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, professional manner.
• Obtain and verify financial and demographic information to support accurate billing and clinical outcomes.
• Schedule appointments and procedures.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and explain charges and policies.
• Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems and collect necessary payments.
• Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
