Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network seeks a staff Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care in a hospital-based PICU/CICU setting. The role uses a multidisciplinary approach and nursing education and experience to deliver care according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Nurses are part of a team focused on clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required. The position is 0.75 FTE, with night shifts of 12 hours and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- CICU experience, ideally more than two years.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patients’ autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
