About The Position

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse for its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The nurse will use specialized training and knowledge to provide nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role supports a nursing environment where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly, receive professional development support, and contribute to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour day shifts and rotating weekends. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
