About The Position

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The nurse will provide specialized nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach and the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role supports an environment where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, and develop professionally. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.
• CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve care quality and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
