Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The nurse will use specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting while helping deliver exceptional, family-centered care to children. The role supports a nursing environment focused on clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and high-quality patient care. The position is 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour day shifts and rotating weekends. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required. The compensation range is $48.67–$93.91 USD; actual pay depends on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
- Certification in a specialty area.
- CICU experience, ideally more than two years.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
