Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses are supported in clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and growth within the organization. The position is scheduled for 0.9 FTE on 12-hour day shifts. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required. The posted pay scale is $48.67–$93.91 USD; actual pay depends on factors including skills, experience, certifications, and education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS Certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- CICU experience preferred, ideally greater than two years, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
