About The Position

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The RN will use specialized training, nursing knowledge, and a multidisciplinary approach to provide care for children and families. Nurses are supported to participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, and develop professionally within MultiCare.

Requirements

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.
• CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
