Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The RN uses specialized training, nursing knowledge and a multidisciplinary approach to provide care. The role supports a nursing environment in which nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, develop professionally and contribute to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.9 FTE with 12-hour day shifts. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patients’ autonomy, dignity and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
