About The Position
Harborview Medical Center’s Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) is seeking a Psych Registered Nurse to join the psych nursing team at its Level I Trauma Center. The role serves patients arriving at the Emergency Department in psychiatric crisis in a fast-paced setting where each day can bring different challenges. The unit has 10 beds and 24/7 security. This is a regular position at 90% FTE with an alternate work shift. Compensation ranges from $46.97 to $87.02 per hour. Additional compensation includes premiums for a BSN or higher, certification, evening and night shifts, weekend shifts, and Sunday nights, as well as overtime pay. Relocation is available. The position is represented by SEIU 1199NW HMC RN.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Have or obtain a Washington State nursing license to practice.
- Two or more years of experience in psychiatric nursing and an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients arriving at the Emergency Department in psychiatric crisis.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform patient assessments and triage.
