About The Position
Harborview Medical Center’s Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) is seeking a qualified Psych Registered Nurse to join its team at a Level I Trauma Center. The role supports patients arriving at the Emergency Department in psychiatric crisis in a fast-paced setting where each day may bring different challenges. PES is a 10-bed unit with 24/7 security.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Have or obtain a Washington state nursing license to practice.
- Two or more years of experience in psychiatric nursing and an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients arriving at the Emergency Department in psychiatric crisis.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform patient assessments and triage.
Benefits

- BSN or higher premium of $1.00 per hour.
- Certification premium of $1.25 per hour.
- Night shift differential of $5.00 per hour.
- Evening shift differential of $3.00 per hour.
- Weekend shift differential of $4.00 per hour.
- Sunday night premium of $3.00 per hour.
