Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem Nights
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients through vulnerable and challenging moments. The position is per diem on nights in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The hospital offers an extensive RN orientation program and notes the potential for full-time opportunities based on skills and dedication. Compensation is $52.00 per hour, with competitive night and weekend shift differentials and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Valid state RN license.
- BLS certification is required at hire.
- ACLS certification is required at hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Document information accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
