About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Victorian Village is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, high-quality treatment and support patients throughout their recovery. This per diem position is based at Select Specialty Hospital Vic Village in Columbus, Ohio, and involves 12-hour night shifts on an as-needed basis. The minimum per diem commitment is four shifts in a six-week period. The hospital provides an extensive RN orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

Valid state RN license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document information accurately and on time using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
