Registered Nurse RN - Per Diem
About The Position
The Shores, a UMC Community, is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse to care for short-term rehabilitation residents recovering from surgery, illness, or a hospital stay. Most residents are working toward returning home. The role involves 12-hour day shifts on an as-needed basis and pays $45.33 per hour. Employment offers depend on completion of a background check and drug screen. A flu vaccine is required, though medical or religious exemptions may be requested. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license valid in New Jersey.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test.
- A flu vaccine is required; medical or religious exemptions may be requested.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in subacute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or hospital medical-surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health status, recognize changes, and take appropriate action.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines.
- Coordinate admissions, transitions, and discharges to support continuity of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes.
- Partner with rehabilitation teams to monitor progress and help residents achieve recovery goals.
- Build positive relationships with residents and families by providing updates, education, and support.
