About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care to patients through vulnerable and challenging stages of recovery. The position is per diem on the night shift in Gainesville, Florida, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The hospital offers an extensive RN orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
