About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides care to obstetric patients in a complex, high- and low-risk unit. The nurse delivers care according to established standards of practice and coordinates care for mother and infant during the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases. The unit includes 14 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, two Cesarean section delivery rooms, and a four-bed triage bay.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduate preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC preferred.
• Acute care, maternity, or Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities
