About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse at Saint Francis Hospital provides nursing care to obstetric patients according to established standards of practice. The nurse coordinates care during the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases for both mother and infant. The unit provides care for a range of high- and low-risk obstetric patients and includes 14 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, two Cesarean section delivery rooms, and a four-bed triage bay.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA or ARC.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Acute care, maternity, or Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
