About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse at Saint Francis Hospital provides nursing care to obstetric patients according to established standards of practice. The nurse coordinates care for both mother and infant through the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases. The unit provides care for a range of high- and low-risk obstetric patients and includes 14 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, two Cesarean section delivery rooms, and a four-bed triage bay.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Acute care, maternity, or Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
