About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Clarkston, WA. The assignment starts on 09/28/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks. The role involves working in a 25-bed CAH unit within a Long-Term Care - Nursing Home setting, supporting MSU/PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg areas. The nurse must be experienced in all these areas and willing to float to departments as needed. The position offers a day shift and guaranteed hours.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington
Experience in MSU/PCU and willingness to float to other departments as needed
Ability to work in a PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg environment and adapt to shift needs
Strong documentation, communication, and patient education skills
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and infection control practices

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to MSU/PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg patients, including assessment, planning, and ongoing evaluation
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and promptly report changes to the physician
Identify education needs of patients and significant others; deliver education using appropriate modalities
Maintain patient safety through preventative measures, follow isolation and infection control procedures, and document care accordingly
Perform and document accurate orders processing, 24-hour order checks when applicable, and thorough shift handoffs to incoming staff
Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg settings; access manuals as needed; keep emergency carts and supplies stocked
Communicate clearly with other departments and report critical lab values promptly per policy
Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations and patient care
