Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
Colorado CAPS (Colorado Adult Protective Services) background check required.
Ability to work in a long-term care/memory care setting.
Availability to work a 3x12-hour day shift schedule.
Access to reliable transportation (rural Gunnison has limited public transit).

Responsibilities

Assist and supervise day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
Administer medications and implement the resident care plan under the supervision of the nursing leadership; monitor and document resident status and respond to changes.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff, and ensure safety and quality of care for residents.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, provide clear communication to the Director of Nursing, and uphold resident rights and dignity.
Apply infection control practices, participate in care planning, and support ongoing quality improvement efforts within the memory care and LTC environment.
