About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care (LTC) in Buffalo Center, Iowa. The assignment begins on 08/24/2026 and is in a long-term care nursing setting. The role offers a weekly pay range of $1,601 to $1,738 with guaranteed 34.5 hours per week. Shifts are on days, with three 11.5-hour shifts from 08:00 to 19:30. The position is managed as a travel assignment by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa (or ability to obtain licensure by endorsement)
Graduation from an approved nursing program
Relevant clinical experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work three 11.5-hour day shifts and adapt to a LTC environment
Willingness to undergo standard travel assignment requirements (background check, drug screen, and orientation)

Responsibilities

Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adults in a long-term care setting, including ongoing assessment and documentation.
Administer medications and treatments per order, monitor responses, and promptly report changes in condition to the care team.
Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Monitor and promote resident safety, comfort, and dignity; manage call lights and respond to changes in status while maintaining chart accuracy.
Perform clinical procedures appropriate to LTC practice, including wound care, pain management, shifts in plan of care, and infection control adherence.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff; support a positive care environment and continuity of care across shifts.
