About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care setting. The role involves providing direct bedside care to adult and geriatric patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications and IV therapies, and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement and adjust the medical plan of care. Responsibilities also include assessing patient needs, coordinating with ancillary services, participating in discharge planning and patient education, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to clinical standards. The position requires the ability to work a night-shift schedule and meet unit orientation requirements.

Requirements

California RN license (active) and current BLS certification
ACLS certification required at time of hire
At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia during orientation
Ability to work the listed night-shift schedule and meet unit orientation requirements

Nice To Haves

EPIC experience preferred
Telemetry experience preferred
BSN preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct bedside care to adult and geriatric patients on the telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs
Administer medications and IV therapies per the plan of care; document administration and patient response in the electronic health record
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other members of the health care team to implement the medical plan of care and adjust as needed
Assess patient needs, coordinate with ancillary services, and participate in discharge planning and patient education
Maintain accurate, timely documentation; ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical standards; supervise and delegate to appropriate nursing team members per scope of practice
