About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Telemetry unit in Portland, Oregon. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026, with night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. The role is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and focuses on providing coordinated nursing care for telemetry patients using established standards and the nursing process. The position requires experience with the Epic EMR system.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (Oregon) or applicable compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required; Basic Life Support certification from an approved vendor per policy; ACLS or ARC-ALS required.
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care/telemetry.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting.
• Strong critical thinking and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

• Telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for telemetry patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Collect and analyze patient data, monitor telemetry findings, and identify care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate care with physicians, support staff, and other disciplines; promote patient safety and healing environment.
• Administer medications and therapies, assess responses, and document in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately and ensure safe, effective care delivery.
• Participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and support treatment team communication.
