About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse position specializing in Long-Term Care (LTC) in Elkins, West Virginia. The assignment is for 9 weeks, starting on 08/17/2026. The role involves working night shifts with a weekend rotation in a long-term care nursing home setting. Weekly pay is estimated between $1,070 and $1,131, with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia
- Ability to work night shifts (19:00–07:00) and participate in a weekend rotation
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor residents for changes in condition.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to care planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document care activities and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Respond to clinical changes during night shifts, provide appropriate nursing interventions, and escalate as needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living and support restorative nursing care as directed.
- Ensure infection control practices, safety protocols, and quality standards are consistently followed.
