Registered Nurse (RN) - CV Step Down
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the overall patient experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN directs high-quality, patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. This is a full-time, day-shift position in the CV Step Down unit. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available to qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- For telemetry and higher-acuity units: ACLS (AHA) and Basic EKG interpretation are required.
- No prior experience required.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
- Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow infection control procedures at all times.
- Adhere to environmental care standards.
- Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
- Coordinate the patient experience and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
- Direct patient-focused care in accordance with safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
