About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient’s overall experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN directs patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care.

This is a part-time night-shift position in the CV Step Down unit. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Meet education requirements recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold American Heart Association BLS certification.
• For telemetry and higher-acuity units, hold ACLS certification from the American Heart Association and have basic EKG interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate the patient’s experience and integrate care based on the nursing process.
• Direct patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
