About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient’s overall experience and integrates patient care using the nursing process. The RN directs patient-focused care in accordance with established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.

This role is on the CV Step Down unit and works days. The position is full-time. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• For telemetry and higher-acuity units: ACLS certification from the American Heart Association and basic EKG interpretation are required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate the patient’s overall experience and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct safe, patient-focused care according to established standards.
