Registered Nurse (RN) - CV Step Down
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient’s overall experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN directs patient-focused care according to established safety, risk-management, quality-improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. This role is on the CV Step Down unit and has a day shift schedule. The employer describes a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and work-life balance.
Requirements
- Meet education requirements recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Hold American Heart Association BLS certification.
- For telemetry and higher-acuity units, hold AHA ACLS certification and have basic EKG interpretation skills.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to assume responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
- Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow infection-control procedures.
- Adhere to environmental care standards.
- Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
- Coordinate the patient’s overall experience and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
- Direct patient-focused care according to safety, risk-management, quality-improvement, and infection-control standards.
