About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective total nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient’s overall experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The role directs patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care. This position is in the CV Step Down unit and is scheduled for nights.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• For telemetry and higher-acuity units: ACLS certification from the American Heart Association and basic EKG interpretation are required.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
