About The Position
HealthPro Pediatrics has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse in a school setting in Pasco County, Florida. This is a full-time role for 35 hours per week, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. The pay range is $35–$39. The nurse supports students’ health and wellness by collaborating with school staff and families, contributing to the IEP process, providing nursing services specified in IEPs, and maintaining required documentation. Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice in the state of residence or state of placement.
- Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
- Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ health and wellness.
- Participate in the IEP process by developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services.
- Provide nursing services using current best practices and in accordance with services prescribed in the IEP.
- Maintain documentation required by the district and ASHA’s code of ethics, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
