About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse for a High School in Bibb County. The role involves managing the healthcare needs of students, administering medications, providing first aid, and maintaining health records. The nurse will also develop relationships with parents and stakeholders and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State the teammate practices
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nurses
• None

Responsibilities

• Administers OTC and prescription medications
• Provide basic first aid
• CPR training for staff
• Manage healthcare needs such as Asthma, Diabetes and Epilepsy as examples
• Develop and maintain relations with parents and stakeholders in the schools
• Document in Power School and keep medical information update
• Reviews and updates immunization and health records at the school
