About The Position

Concordia Hospice of Washington is seeking a compassionate, personable Hospice Registered Nurse to provide individualized end-of-life care to patients and their families in Washington and Greene counties. The role focuses on comfort, dignity, symptom management, and quality of life. The RN works with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop care plans, while also supporting and educating families. The position offers autonomy in scheduling and patient-care decisions, along with opportunities for training and professional development.

Requirements

• Adaptability, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in palliative care, hospice, or oncology.
• Paid training, scholarships, and opportunities to specialize skills are available.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments, with a focus on pain management and symptom control.
• Educate families about the disease process, care options, and end-of-life decisions, and provide emotional support.
• Manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and make independent decisions regarding patient care.
