About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a per diem (PRN) Registered Nurse to provide care at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The role serves long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation residents. Nurses can select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations to secure shifts as far into the future as availability allows. The hourly rate is $42.68. Available eight-hour shifts are days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM ET, and evenings, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM ET. The position requires one year of RN experience; long-term care or rehabilitation experience is preferred. Required credentials and health documentation include an active, unencumbered Pennsylvania RN license (or a multistate compact license where accepted), active AHA BLS certification, and the listed immunization and TB records.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania RN license, or multistate compact license where accepted.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA only).
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- MMR series or titer.
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
- Varicella series or titer.

- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation residents.
- Administer medications and treatments, including wound care, according to physician orders.
- Assess residents, update care plans, and communicate changes to physicians and families.
- Supervise and delegate work to LPNs and GNAs/CNAs on the unit.
- Document care accurately.
