About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a per diem (PRN) Registered Nurse to provide care at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. Workers select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations to secure shifts as far in advance as availability allows. The role specializes in long-term care and rehabilitation and pays $43.41 per hour. The listed shift is days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM ET, for eight hours.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of RN experience; long-term care or rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania RN license, or a multistate compact license where accepted.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA only).
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or a titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation residents.
• Administer medications and treatments, including wound care, according to physician orders.
• Assess residents, update care plans, and communicate changes to physicians and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and GNAs/CNAs on the unit.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
