Temporary Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process and works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The nurse carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. The role directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to foster patient- and family-centered care. The position is in the Medical Surgical department and is temporary, with 48 scheduled hours per bi-weekly pay period and daily work times of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
Responsibilities
- Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
- Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, the environment, and professional development.
- Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient- and family-centered care.
